From June 2019 regular leader Janet is away on sabbatical for a year. While she's away, sessions will be led by one or more of a small team of her singing friends who will be passing the baton amongst themselves! Come along on a Monday night and you will be singing with one or more of the following, who all teach in an accessible 'natural voice' style (songs taught by ear rather than using written music)
Wren Hughes has been leading singing groups in London and Oxford for over 30 years, with a particular interest in African and gospel music, and sacred songs from different traditions. Her style of teaching is both enthusiastic and contemplative, and she loves to teach songs that are easy to sing and richly harmonious.
Liz Hodgson has been singing and running groups and workshops for over 30 years, and co-founded Joined-up Singing with Janet back in 2006. More recently she has focused on singing and wellbeing, composing her own material and engaging with a range of projects. Coming back to Monday nights is going to be fun!
Fiona Dobie is a professional singing teacher who loves to share how to sing with more comfort and fun, and how to be more present as you do that! She also loves the energy of singers joining together in beautiful easy-to-learn global harmony songs, so is looking forward to some sessions with Joined Up Singers!
